Returns and transit damage

Transit damage comes first

More lift problems are transit damage than product faults. The process only works if the damage is recorded at delivery.

• Inspect the pallet before the driver leaves.
• Note any damage on the delivery receipt. A clean signature makes a claim substantially harder.
• Photograph the pallet as it comes off the truck, wrapping included.
• Tell us within 48 hours.

Bent arms, crushed control boxes and cosmetic column damage are all recoverable if they are documented. They are much harder to recover once the paperwork says the shipment arrived in good condition.

Change-of-mind returns on freight items

A lift is not a parcel and a change-of-mind return is not free. Return freight on a palletised item is a real cost and it falls to the customer where the return is not our error or a fault. Restocking terms depend on the manufacturer, and we will state ours plainly on this page before we take any order.

An uninstalled lift in its original packaging is a different proposition from one that has been anchored into a slab. Once a lift has been installed it cannot be returned as a change of mind.

Faults

A product fault is dealt with under the manufacturer's warranty and under your rights as a buyer. Warranty periods vary by manufacturer and by component: structure, power unit and parts are frequently covered for different lengths of time. Where we list a warranty we will state which component it applies to.
